The Firecrest UV IR Cut is a specialty filter that allows visible spectrum light to pass while blocking both Ultra Violet (UV) and Infrared (IR) light. These filters block infrared contamination that can cause image degradation. Firecrest UV’s feature our exclusive Firecrest multicoating, that is both anti-reflective and hydrophobic, coated to broadcast quality glass in the thinnest rings on the market. Each Superslim filter extends just 3.5mm and features a threaded front for stacking. Available in 39mm, 46mm, 49mm, 52mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, 82mm, 95mm, 105mm, and 127mm.
I was concern that there was a Quality Control stamp from May 12, 2015 on the case, but after inspecting the filter, it was still brand new (Today is April 23, 2021). I'd bought the filter for two reasons, protect my lens and assistance in reducing Chromatic abbreviation. I'd say, that if the original lens has that problem, the introduction of a filter is not going to eliminate that problem. The Firecrest reduced CA, maybe about 20%, but then the lens I'm using it on, was manufactured in 1975. I'll take any amount of reduction any day!!

In order to be eligible for a refund, you have to return the product within 30 calendar days of your purchase. The product must be in the same condition that you receive it and undamaged in any way.
After we receive your item, our team of professionals will inspect it and process your refund. The money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. For credit card payments it may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your credit card statement.
If the product is damaged in any way, or you have initiated the return after 30 calendar days have passed, you will not be eligible for a refund.
