Soft Edge Filter
Graduated filters (or more simply, grads) have the neutral density effect on half of the filter. The most common use for a graduated filter is to reduce the luminosity of a bright sky balancing it to the terrain below, providing a more neutral color representation than HDR techniques. It also provides a more authentic shot, with far less work required in post processing, too.
Unique Lap & Polish Technique
Our signature Lap & Polish technique, was first reserved only for our cinema-grade filters, but is now used for our Firecrest Ultra Filters as well! This means your Firecrest Ultra Filters benefit from enhanced clarity and sharpness, making it one of the most optically flat filters in the world.
Different Densities and Sizes
Our Firecrest Ultra Range is available in a wide range of circular threaded filters, and 100x100mm square for use in our Firecrest Filter Holder system. as well as a wide range of popular densities depending on the exposure you want, from 1 to 10 stops, 13 and 16 stops, and 18 to 24 stops.
Firecrest at the Forefront of Innovation
Firecrest created a new range of neutral filters that no other brand has been able to create! We bonded the filter coating in the center of two pieces of optical grade polished glass, shielding your filter from wear and tear, as well as giving it more strength than a single piece of glass.
Put to the Test
Our Firecrest Filters outsold all other filters this past year for the North American solar eclipse. Firecrest Ultra offers some of the highest densities ever seen in the photography market with up to 24 stops!

SOFT EDGE GRADS
Soft edge grads are versatile multi-use filters used to balance the luminosity of a bright sky with the below terrain. The soft edge makes it effortless to insert into the scene, especially over bright horizons or mountains. This soft edge Grad Filter is an absolute must-have for any landscape photographer
SIGNATURE LAP & POLISH TECHNIQUE
Only Firecrest Ultra Filters are treated with our “Lap and Polish” technique. Initially reserved only for our cinema-grade filters, our Firecrest Ultra Filters now benefit from the same enhanced clarity and sharpness of cinema grade lenses! This makes them the most optically flat filters in the world, regardless of focal length
VARIOUS SIZES & DENSITIES
Firecrest Ultra Soft Edge Grads are available in a multitude of different circular sizes and densities! Available in 100x150mm, choose from a range of popular densities and stops such as: .03 (1 Stop) .6 (2 Stops) .9 (3 Stops) 1.2 (4 Stops) 1.5 (5 Stops).
