Introducing the Firecrest 100mm Filter Holder MKII
For the MKII, we went back to the drawing board and worked closely with an extensive team of industry leading photographers to build upon the successes of the MKI, whilst taking into account the feedback from our users in order to refine and improve upon every aspect of our holder.
Block specific wavelengths of urban lights for stunning nightscapes
These filters are great quality. They seem to resist scratching better than any other, which means it's an investment, not a disposable item. I only wish they made them in 0.3 and 1.2 densities.
My go-to for circular screw-in and sheet filters. Always fantastic quality and service.
I don’t know how it will work as I have not been able to use it yet.
I have not received this order. You were notified of that fact. I’d like to straighten this out as quickly as possible.

I think I will get good use from this holder but I would have bought the 100mm version instead if I didn’t already own the 85mm glass filters
Benefit of having this high quality uv filter is that i do not have to remove it. Even when I want the sharpest image possible with my GM 24-70, I can leave it on and it doesn’t affect sharpness. It’s slim and can work with nd filters screwed on top of it.
These rings when attached to the lens and filter holder form a solid unit. It will not turn/rotate if bumped. The Cokin A series (now S Series) holder/adapter ring will rotate.
I bought the rings and holder to use on Micro Four Thirds camera with 14 - 42 mm lens that uses a 37mm filter.
I feel that the standard 85mm filters are too big to use comfortably with this camera/lens combination.
No more light leaks. No more using weather striping to make a gasket for my adapter rings. Filters slide in an out with the precise controlled firmness of a zeiss lens focus ring. Built in polarizer. No more holding a hat to shield the filters. All i do now is sit and wait for 8 min. A filter holder designed by long exposure photographers for long exposure photographers.
Filters are excellent. Best quality I have seen in slide-in glass filter. Great customer service.
I have been using the Formatt IRNDs in combination with BW circular polarizers on 10 different lens with Panasonic and Canon for video work. And its part of my special look that I can get that no other ND has. While the idea of ND is its neutral, many change the image by either creating color shift (polarpro) or just overall definition. These don't color shift but they seem to create depth even on expensive lens. They are not as widely available and affordable as many brands but if you do a lot of outdoor shooting wide open they are special and worth the investment. Try it on a very bright lens to start and shoot wide open and you will be very impressed with results.
They look as amazing as usual, and perfect for gimbalwork.
I use them for my lens test as well and they look IDENTICAL to the standard.
Great product, does the job as intended at a reasonable price
I have several filters that are good for helping skin tones and to control background lighting. After using these I get why these are so highly rated. This is the brand I’ll using going forward and I’ve already started the process of changing my filters over to these.
Absolutely no color shift or image quality loss on my D850 with a Zeiss 135 zf.2. This filter is perfect will be getting more to build a complete set. John
I absolutely love my set of Firecrests. They’re with me for every job. Paired with the RED Gemini sensor you can’t go wrong!
